The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. has already started to file notices with the Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of labor to let them know how many jobs it will be axing as it begins to close certain area stores.
In Philadelphia, it listed the Super Fresh at 1851 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd. and the Pathmark at 840 Cottman Ave. as two stores scheduled to close Sept. 19, a shutdown that will affect 151 jobs.
The eight stores in New Jersey that are also scheduled to close on Sept. 19 are located in the northern and central parts of the Garden State.
