Philadelphia is one of several major cities across the country taking part in a nationwide campaign to raise awareness on the Islamic Faith.
The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is leading the educational campaign called #WhoisMuhammad, which features 50 billboards in major U.S. cities, including 11 billboards in Philly.
"The billboards have generated a lot of interest,” said Naeem Baig, the President of ICNA. “People are curious to know about the Prophet Muhammad. They have many questions, and we are experiencing a surge in calls to our hotline and website visits.”
The Billboards invite residents with questions to call the toll-free number 1-877-Why-Islam or visit the Why Islam website.
