Health inspectors have cited New Jersey's largest medical marijuana dispensary after finding pesticides in its facility.
NJ.com reports state inspectors found the pesticides at Garden State Dispensary's Woodbridge facility. But no traces of the bug-killing substance were detected in the medicine.
Garden State Dispensary owner Michael Weisser says inspectors found a sealed container of organic pesticides in a little-used cabinet. He says they considered using it at one time.
New Jersey's medical marijuana program bars dispensaries from using pesticides on its cannabis crops.
Health Department spokeswoman Donna Leusner says Garden State submitted a corrective action plan in August demonstrating they understand and will abide by the rules. The department approved the plan.
