Delaware authorities say two women have been indicted in separate cases involving the deaths of two children in Sussex County.
Authorities say 51-year-old Valorie Handy of Millsboro and 23-year Detoshia Spence of Laurel were both indicted Monday on charges of first-degree murder by abuse or neglect. Spence also is charged with child endangerment, child abuse and offensive touching in the death of her 3-year old daughter in April.
Both women were taken into custody Wednesday. Handy is being held in lieu of $100,000 cash bond. Spence's cash bond is set at $111,100.
