Car Goes Off I-95, Lands on Ground Below

A red sedan went off Interstate 95 in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond section during Friday’s evening commute leaving traffic backed up and a woman unconscious.

The car went off the roadway while traveling northbound near Castor Avenue around 4:10 p.m.

First responders pulled a 71-year-old unconscious woman from the car, said dispatchers.

As SkyForce10 hovered overhead a short time later you could see the car semi-upright on the ground between the highway and the off-ramp for the Betsy Ross Bridge. Police blocked two northbound lanes as they investigated below.
