One man is in the hospital and one lane on I-295 is shut down after an accident in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. Officials say two cars were involved in the accident on the southbound side of I-295. Both cars went off the roadway and one slammed into a tree in a wooded area. Rescue crews worked to get the driver out of the vehicle. The man was unconscious but still breathing, according to authorities. He was taken to Virtua Memorial Hospital.
Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The right lane on the southbound side is currently closed.
