10 Displaced Following House Fire in Nicetown

Ten people have been displaced after a house fire in Philadelphia late Thursday night.

The fire started about 11 p.m. inside a home in the 2200 block of Yelland Street in the city’s Nicetown neighborhood.

Firefighters were able to place the fire under control in less than an hour. The fire started in an unoccupied home, officials said.

There were no reports of any injuries.

A total of 10 people -- four adults and six children -- were displaced by the fire. They are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
