2 Hurt in Helicopter Crash at Lehigh Valley International Airport

The helicopter departed the ACE Pilot Training School at the airport around 2:45 p.m. when the pilot somehow lost control and crashed behind Hangar 10 at the airport, near Postal Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County

Two people were hospitalized after a helicopter crashed at the Lehigh Valley International Airport Sunday afternoon.

The helicopter departed the ACE Pilot Training School at the airport around 2:45 p.m. when the pilot somehow lost control and crashed behind Hangar 10 at the airport, near Postal Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

Crews at the scene said the helicopter appeared to strike the side of a warehouse, according to an NBC10 source.

Two people who were on board the helicopter were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) are both investigating the incident.
