The recently resigned president of Gloucester County College was charged Friday with multiple counts of forgery linked to loan applications he allegedly authorized using a former employee’s name.
Dr. Russell Davis of Deptford Township allegedly used the former employees name to applies for loans to tap into his own pension fund, according to Gloucester County Prosecutors.
The10 counts of alleged misdoings happened from Feb. 9, 2010 and March 14, 2011. Davis, 52, also allegedly once used the same signature for a hardship application to withdraw funds from his own pension account, according to authorities.
It doesn’t appear that any college funds were taken, prosecutors said. But an audit was advised to make sure there were no other misdoings.
Davis was charged on 11 counts of forgery and released on his own recognizance.
