Girl, 6, and Man Burned in Camden County House Fire

All people who were inside the Haddonfield duplex when the fire broke out made it out alive

A fast-moving fire tore through a South Jersey duplex, injuring a young girl and a man Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the blaze started around 5:15 a.m. in the two-story home that is split into two in Haddonfield. The home quickly became engulfed in smoke and fire, with flames shooting through the roof.

The 6-year-old girl and the man were both being treated at a hospital. Family members said the man sustained a burn to his leg, while authorities said the girl suffered minor burns.

Everyone who was inside when the fire broke out, including the girl's family and a couple that lives next door, made it out alive.

Multiple fire engines responded to the scene and firefighters were able to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
