Authorities are looking into the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a freight train in western Pennsylvania.
The Westmoreland County coroner's office released a statement saying 22-year-old Christopher Reed died early Sunday near Seward.
Coroner Ken Bacha says the train struck the victim around 1 a.m. in St. Clair Township, about 50 miles east of Pittsburgh.
An autopsy is planned for Monday. Reed was from Windber, in neighboring Somerset County.
Bacha says police are investigating.
