Owner of South Jersey Skating Rink Takes Photos of Child's ‘Intimate Parts:' Prosecutors

The owner of a South Jersey skating rink is accused of having had improper contact with a young child.

Gloucester County prosecutors said 36-year-old Jon Carlo faces several charges stemming from incidents that allegedly occurred between November 2014 and July 2015. The Franklin Township resident owns the Franklin Skating Center in Franklinville.

Carlo was charged with sexual assault, child endangerment, invasion of privacy and displaying obscene material to a minor. His bail was set at $200,000 and it wasn't known if he has retained an attorney.

Carlo allegedly showed adult pornography to the child, who authorities said was under 13. They also said he made a video recording of a child's "intimate parts" without the child's consent or knowledge.

The investigation included search warrants executed at Carlo's business and residence.

A court put out an order that Carlo can't have any unsupervised contact with minors.

County detectives said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with info about Carlo possibly videotaping other children to contact Det. Warren Rivell at (856) 384-5625.
