A former high school music teacher has admitted he posed as a teen online to try and convince underage girls to send him nude photos.
Arthur Ernst III pleaded guilty Friday to manufacturing child pornography, promoting obscene material to a person under 18 and debauching the morals of a child under 16.
The former music teacher and choir director at Ocean Township High School is expected to be sentenced to eight years in prison in August.
Ernst, of Cranford, admitted that in 2010 and 2011 he posed as a teenage boy and tried to convince three members of his choir who were under 16 to send nude pictures.
Investigators also discovered Ernst posed as a teenage boy and convinced a 12-year-old Colorado girl to send a nude video of herself.
