Dense fog reduced visibility and slowed the commute in parts of New Jersey Wednesday morning.
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday for Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, Mercer, Cumberland, Atlantic, Cape May, southeast Burlington, Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Union and eastern Passaic counties.
The National Weather Service said the fog can reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less. Motorists were advised to slow down.
The fog advisory was canceled for Morris, Somerset, Salem, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties.
