A firefighter was injured while battling a fire in South Jersey early Monday morning.
The fire started about 3 a.m. inside a two-story home in the 800 block of Newton Avenue in Camden, New Jersey.
When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames billowing from the home.

There were initial reports of people trapped, but firefighters searched the building and found no one.
A firefighter suffered a minor injury and was taken to Cooper University Hospital for observation.
