Fight Outside Country Concert in Camden Ends in Stabbing

A fight between men outside a country music concert in Camden Saturday night ended with one of the men stabbed and the other in handcuffs.

Camden County prosecutors said the stabbing happened just after 9 p.m. near Campbell's Field. It was unclear what sparked the dispute between the 26-year-old victim and 25-year-old George Kelly, of Ridley Park.

Prosecutors said Kelly stabbed the other man in the throat. The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remained Sunday in stable condition.

Kelly is now facing charges of aggravated assault and weapons offenses. He was being held at the county jail, and it was unknown Sunday whether he'd retained an attorney.

The stabbing remains under investigation.

Camden's BB&T Pavilion concert venue hosted the Mega 2016 Xtu Voucher, a country music concert featuring musician Brantley Gilbert, Saturday night, according to Live Nation's website.
