Strip Mall Fire Damages Chinese Buffet, Bridal Shop

A fire began in the kitchen of a Bucks County Chinese buffet then spread to a neighboring bridal shop overnight.

Flames broke out around 1:30 a.m. Monday inside the Hong Kong King Buffet at the Bucks Center strip mall at E Street Road and Bustleton Pike in Feasterville, Pennsylvania.

The blaze spread from the kitchen into the roof and caused some damage to the neighboring David’s Bridal store. No word yet on damage totals.

Luckily, no one was hurt, said David's Bridal in a statement to NBC10:

First and foremost we are very grateful that no employees, customers or other personnel associated with the shopping center, restaurant, store and emergency response teams were injured. We are currently working with officials on the scene to determine what happened and are assessing the damage to the store.

We understand that there is some concern with our customers regarding the status of their merchandise and scheduled appointments. We want to assure all customers that we will meet all order obligations that are due in the near future, and we will be reaching out to those customers within the next 24 hours with an update about their merchandise, orders and/or appointments.

In the meantime, we are directing all customers who want to visit David’s Bridal in the area to our nearby locations in Philadelphia and Plymouth Meeting, and the address to these stores, as well as other stores in the area, can be found at davidsbridal.com. Customers with outstanding orders and/or questions or concerns should call our store number: 1-215-953-0600. We hope to be able to provide information as soon as possible on the timing of when the store will re-open for business and for directions on how to get immediate help if needed.
