Father Charged With 2-Year-Old Daughter's Murder

A group of school children found Tierra Morgan, face down in a stream still strapped in her car seat.

A day after Tierra Morgan's father said he was taking her to the movies, a group of school kids found the two-year-old face down in a stream, still strapped into her car seat.

An autopsy showed Tierra died from violence and submersion in water. Her father, Arthur Morgan III was charged with her murder on Wednesday and the FBI had joined Monmouth County, New Jersey investigators in the search for Morgan.

Morgan picked up Tierra on Monday and said he was taking her to a movie, according to the little girl's grandmother.

Tuesday afternoon, a group of children found Tierra's body in a stream inside Shark River Park in Monmouth County.

Morgan, 27, was last seen at the Asbury Park train station.
