Start planning alternate routes, there will be lane closures on the Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross Bridges this week.
From Monday until Thursday the two right-hand westbound lanes of the Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed for construction. The closures go into effect at 8 p.m. and will last until 4:30 a.m. the next morning.
On Friday from 8 p.m. until 4:30 a.m., the right-hand westbound lane of the Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed for construction.
From 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. the right-hand westbound lane of the Betsy Ross Bridge will be closed for construction. This closure begins Monday and ends on Friday.
On Wednesday between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. an interior eastbound lane will be closed on the Betsy Ross.
The Delaware River Port Authority is urging individuals to obey all speed restrictions while driving through the work zones. Be aware that all construction times are tentative and operations may change depending on needs, changes and weather.
