An elderly man is dead after being struck by a car.
It happened Tuesday at 6:39 p.m. on School House Lane and Henry Avenue in front of Philadelphia University.
Police say the 77-year-old man was crossing the intersection when he was struck by a car making a left onto Henry Avenue. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:16 p.m.
Police say the accident was not a hit-and-run and the driver stayed at the scene. No word yet on the victim’s identity.
