Philly's First Cat Cafe Launches Indiegogo Campaign, Eyes Lofty Goal

Kristin Eissler launched the Indiegogo campaign Monday to raise funds for the upcoming Kawaii Cat Café, the city's first adoption center-café hybrid that's set to open sometime this year.

Eissler has set the fundraising goal to $20,000 for the café to cover the "basic level" of what is needed to open and operate.

"It will take care of the cats, help with the construction to separate the cat area and the café, the furniture and what we need for the cats to make it a cute little area for them," she said.
