NJ Driver Suffers Broken Legs, Internal Injuries in Crash

Authorities say a motorist was seriously injured when a car crashed on a central New Jersey roadway.

Howell Township police tell NJ.com that the 23-year-old driver apparently suffered broken legs and internal injuries in the accident, which occurred early Sunday on Aldrich Road. The driver was flown to a hospital, but further details on their condition were not disclosed.

Authorities have not released the name of the driver, who was alone in the vehicle.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

A stretch of Aldrich Road was closed for several hours while authorities investigated the accident, but it was reopened late Sunday morning.
