A woman died from her injuries after police say a man intentionally ran into her with his vehicle and then struck her with a shovel in Philadelphia Sunday night.
Police say the unidentified man drove into the woman on W. Rockland and N. Franklin streets at 8:23 p.m. He then allegedly grabbed a shovel and assaulted her with it.
The man was arrested by responding officers and is currently in custody. The woman was taken to Einstein Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 9:48 p.m.
