The Drexel University College of Medicine has named a suburban Philadelphia hospital as its sixth regional medical campus.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports up to two dozen students per medical class will complete their clinical rotations at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland during their third year.
The change is expected to take effect in July 2017.
The hospital had been a clinical campus — a lesser designation — for Drexel's medical school for more than three decades prior to Monday's announcement.
Drexel's other regional medical campuses in the state are located in Abington, Pittsburgh and York. It also has medical campuses in California and New Jersey.
