Instead of a cat in the tree, firefighters in Tinton Falls, Monmouth County, New Jersey found a dog trapped under a dishwasher.
The dog is a miniature schnauzer named Sambuca.
Officials told the Asbury Park Press Sambuca's rear legs and hips somehow got trapped.
They're not sure how.
Sambuca was freed after firefighters worked to gently remove the animal so it would no be harmed in the process.
Sambuca didn't appear to have suffered any injuries and is reported to be "doing well", firefighters said.
