Loaves and Fishes, a Philabundance food bank in Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, will host the Delaware County SPCA’s pet supply event Thursday.
The SPCA will provide pet toys, food and treats for "pet stockings" in an effort to keep pets in their caring homes.
"Our hope is that no one should be forced to surrender their beloved pet due to financial struggles," reads the Delaware County SPCA website.
The SPCA will also donate goodies for humans like soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
The group will also try to match a $1,000 donation to Loaves and Fishes, which has hosted the food pantry event in the past.
The pet stocking event is at Propsect Hill Baptist Church a 703 Lincoln Ave. in Prospect Park, Pennsylvania. The event starts at 1 p.m.
