A Delaware man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after prosecutors say he collected and distributed hundreds of photos and videos depicting adult men violently raping prepubescent boys.

Harry Roche of Millsboro pleaded guilty in March to two child pornography charges in a plea agreement with prosecutors. The 44-year-old had faced up to life in prison at Wednesday's sentencing.

U.S. Attorney Charles Oberly says in a statement Thursday that Roche "is every child's bogeyman and every parent's worst nightmare."
Prosecutors say Roche had previously been convicted in Delaware of dealing in child pornography in 2003, and of sexually harassing a boy in 1994. He was arrested again in January 2013 on a cybertip.
