Bank Robber Strikes 3 Times in Week: Police

Delaware State Police obtained warrants charging a Philadelphia man with robbing three Delaware banks in a week.

Police in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, notified Delaware authorities that 49-year-old Brian E. Adam, who was in their custody on unrelated charges, was a suspect in the Delaware crimes, troopers said Thursday in a news release.

Delaware investigators interviewed Adam, and later obtained warrants charging him with three counts of robbery.

Police said Adam robbed a Wells Fargo bank in New Castle on Dec. 15; a Citizen's Bank in Newark on Dec. 17, and a Wells Fargo bank in Wilmington on Dec. 21.

Troopers said in each incident, Adam entered the bank and gave a teller a note demanding cash.

Adam is awaiting extradition to Delaware.
