Deer Rescued from New Jersey Swimming Pool

Police and firefighters rescued a deer that nearly drowned in a swimming pool in northern New Jersey.

The six-point buck became trapped in the pool after it fell through the pool's cover at a Far Hills home on Saturday.

Police Chief Kenneth Hartman tells NJ.com responders used the cover as a makeshift net to lift the deer out of the water.

Once saved, the deer was set free.
