Police are trying to identify a body that was found near Bartram’s Garden Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses were walking in the woods of Bartram's Garden at 5400 Bartram Drive around 12:30 p.m. Saturday when they spotted the decomposed body of a woman on the bank of the Schuylkill River, about 45 feet from the water line.
Officials describe the victim as a black female who was in a state of decomposition and had no obvious signs of trauma. They also say she didnt have on a shirt but was dressed in blue pants and brown "hospital socks." They continue to investigate.
