Death of Man in Home is 1st Homicide in Bethlehem of 2015

UPDATE: Police arrested the victim's roommate and charged him with the killing


Police are investigating the first homicide in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania of 2015.

On Sunday at 12:22 p.m., police received a call reporting an altercation on the 400 block of Fillmore Street in Bethlehem, Northampton County.

Responding police officers found the body of an unidentified man inside the home. The Northampton County Coroner ruled the man’s death a homicide, making it the first in Bethlehem this year. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. The victim has not yet been identified.

Another man who was inside the home was taken into custody. Police are currently questioning him in connection with the death of the victim. He has not been charged though charges are pending, according to investigators.

Police continue to investigate but say the death was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
