Firefighters Pull Man From Delaware Fire, He Dies Hours Later

A man died after being pulled from a fire that damaged three homes in Wilmington.

New Castle County Paramedics said firefighters freed 52-year-old Antonio Shockley from one of the homes after he became trapped in the Monday night fire. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

About 75 firefighters fought the fire that spread to three homes. Two other people were treated for smoke inhalation and are expected to be OK.

Damage was estimated at $400,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
