The reporting deadline is approaching for a panel exploring how to make the state's revenue portfolio less unpredictable and more reflective of economic conditions.
Members of the Structural Revenue Review Committee have received briefings over the past several weeks on the various sources of taxes and other revenues that fund state government.
The panel was to meet again Friday to discuss outstanding items, additional topics for consideration, and the structure and content of a report to be submitted next month.
Officials have said the state cannot continue to rely on uncertain and unpredictable revenue sources such as gambling and abandoned property collections.
