Police finally found the man dubbed the “Dancing Shoplifter” after a surveillance video released to the public brought in tips about the dancer’s identity.

Anthony DiVietro, 26, of the 500-block of White Horse Pike in Stratford, N.J., was arrested Friday for his Oct. 1 theft of a woman’s dress in the K-Mart on Blackwood Clementon Road in Gloucester Township, police say.

DiVietro was caught on camera picking up clothing items while he danced and stuffing them in his pants.

In a 12 hour period after the video was posted on the police department’s Facebook page, it was viewed approximately 3700 times.

With numerous citizen tips, police identified DiVietro as the suspect and then arrested him.

He was released on his own recognizance.
