Pine Hill Police are searching for drivers of two different vehicles that struck a boy Wednesday and left the scene.
Rocky Imbeault, 10, and his friend Anthony Jenkins, 11, were riding scooters along Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Pine Hill around 6: 30 p.m. last Wednesday. Suddenly police say Rocky was struck by a gray minivan which immediately drove away from the scene, traveling south on Cross Keys Road towards Gloucester Township.
"I was just thinking, I hope he's not dead," said Anthony. "He gets hit by the car. That's when I drop my scooter to go run for him because while that was happening he was sliding."
Before Anthony could reach his friend, Rocky was hit again, this time by a larger dark Gray or silver conversion van which also fled the scene in an opposite direction. It was seen near Route 73 and Walker Avenue. Police released a surveillance picture of the van and say it has a ladder and spare tire mounted to the back.
"Me and my brother ran out and we saw him there," said Keith Cole, Rocky's best friend. "We were just about to cry."
Rocky, a student at School No. 6 in Winslow Township, is in critical, but stable condition at Cooper University Hospital, according to police.
Friends are trying to raise money for his continued recovery.

Rocky's father, Ernie Imbeault, is demanding justice.
"I want the people who did that to my kid to kneel down in front of my kid and let my son ask him why did you leave me on the street to die," said Imbeault.
"We love him and hope he gets better," said Karen Mahlert, a family friend. "We're praying."
Police hope to release enhanced surveillance video of the incident in the next few days.
