Jurors Get Long Weekend as Fate of Father Accused of Killing Son, 3, Remains Uncertain

Jurors in the murder trial of a New Jersey man accused of killing his 3-year-old son will take the weekend off before resuming deliberations Tuesday.

The panel on Thursday watched a video for the third time showing David Creato being interviewed by police after his son was found dead in October 2015.

Creato maintains his son, Brendan, wandered away from his Haddon Township home. The boy's pajama-clad body was found hours later about a mile away.

Prosecutors say Creato had the motive to kill his son. But Creato's lawyer argued prosecutors didn't show he was guilty.

The jury got the case late Tuesday.
