A car fleeing from police slammed into multiple vehicles parked at a Delaware County, Pennsylvania apartment complex Tuesday morning, striking a pedestrian along the way, said authorities.
Emergency responders rushed to the Contemporary Villages at Glenolden Station on Glenolden Avenue around 7 a.m. after the wreck left at least one person hurt, said county dispatchers.
The chase began in nearby Prospect Park as police attempted to pull over a driver for erratic driving, including driving up on the curb, said The Delaware County District Attorney's Office.
Along the way, the suspect crashed into multiple vehicles.
A pedestrian wound up struck and was hospitalized in critical condition, said the DA's office.
As SkyForce10 hovered overhead the wreck, police cars from various Delco jurisdictions could be seen surrounding a blue sedan with front-end damage. A pickup truck also appeared damaged.
The DA's office confirmed that police had taken the unidentified driver into custody.
