County Offers Hep A Vaccines to Residents After Restaurant Exposure

A Mercer County town will offer vaccinations to residents after an employee at a restaurant tested positive for hepatitis A.

Hamilton Township says anyone who ate food from Rosa's Restaurant and Catering between Nov. 10 and Monday should get the shot if they have never been vaccinated.

The township will hold the clinic on Thursday between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for residents 12 months and older. The cost is $35.

The vaccines will be offered at Colonial Volunteer Fire Company at 801 Kuser Road in Hamilton, New Jersey.

The employee has been hospitalized for a week.

Hepatitis A symptoms include mild fever, loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and dark urine and jaundice.
