Beauty Shop Crash May Be Heart Related

A coroner said a man who died after his vehicle crashed into a southwestern Pennsylvania beauty salon may have suffered a heart-related problem.

Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip Reilly did not immediately release the name of the dead man following the crash about 4:15 p.m. Monday in Uniontown. The coroner's office on Tuesday did not have additional information to release.

Uniontown police said nobody else was hurt in the crash at Suzzie Jo's Beauty Salon. The crash destroyed the storefront.

The man was driving a Jeep Compass and was pronounced dead a short time later at Uniontown Hospital.

Police said the vehicle was stopped at a red light before it suddenly sped forward, hitting another vehicle before smashing into the salon.

Uniontown is about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh.
