Copper Theft From Septa Yard Estimated at $58,000

Philadelphia Police want your help in finding the man, caught on camera, allegedly stealing containers of copper wires from a Septa yard

Two containers of copper wires went missing on Oct. 28 from Septa's Wayne Junction Yard located at 4500 Germantown Avenue, according to police.

Surveillance video shows a red Mac truck with white lettering on the side, pulling into the yard.  A man wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants grabs the wire container and takes off, according to detectives.

Two hours later, the same truck returns to grab a second container.

Septa officials estimate the total value of the containers at $58,000, according to police.

These containers can be identified by the numbers 30-039 and 30-101.
