A construction worker is injured after falling from a cherry-picker lift while doing demolition work at a warehouse at the Navy Yard in South Philadelphia.
Police say the accident happened shortly after 11 a.m. Monday. Officer Christine O'Brien, a police spokeswoman, says the machine apparently malfunctioned and threw the 27-year-old worker in the air.
The worker, whose name was not released, landed at the foot of the machine. He's been taken to a hospital after complaining of pain. His name and condition haven't been released.
