Confused Burglar Targets Home: Cops

Police are searching for a burglar caught on surveillance video wandering around a house for an hour before finally breaking in and stealing a cabinet full of jewelry.

Police are on the hunt for a burglar who they say targeted a Burlington County home last month.

Back on January 21, police say a crook broke into a house on Carranza Road in Tabernacle Township. A home surveillance camera captured the incident.

The video shows the burglar repeatedly walking from the front of the home to the back while trying to break inside. The man can also be seen repeatedly unscrewing a light bulb on the porch of the house then screwing it back in several times. While he’s doing this, a clear view of his face can be seen as he unknowingly stares right into the surveillance camera. The man is also seen using a cell phone to light up the back porch.

After wandering around the house for about an hour, the video shows the burglar finally breaking into the home. While inside, the security alarm suddenly goes off. The frightened crook can be seen running off with an entire cabinet of jewelry.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin black beard. In the surveillance video he is seen wearing a black jacket with a white patch on the sleeve.
