Comcast Assumes Citizens Bank Space in Tower

In an article last week, my colleague Natalie Kostelni revealed that Comcast Corp. has decided to occupy its entire new building — the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center — that's currently under construction in Center City. It shows how much the company is growing here.

To accommodate that growth, Citizens Bank moved its local headquarters out of the Comcast Center across the street to One Logan Square at 18th and Cherry streets, with some employees transferring to the bank's existing office space at 1234 Market Street and Plymouth Meeting.

Citizens was one of the original tenants signing an agreement to relocate in 2007 from Commerce Square at 20th and Market streets and assumed a 56,000-square-foot lease — taking 48,000 square feet of office space over two floors and 2,000 square feet of retail space, as well as concourse-level space for a bank branch. Citizens will keep its Comcast Center branch as well as the ATMs in the food court.
