College Student Acts as Good Samaritan, Gets Stabbed in Abdomen

A college student has discovered that being a Good Samaritan can have a price.

The 20-year-old student was driving in Rutherford Friday night when he saw a woman who appeared to be in a fight with a man.

Police tell The Record that when the student approached, the man pulled a knife and demanded his wallet and a gold necklace. When the student hesitated, the man stabbed him in the abdomen.

The woman and man both fled. The student was recovering from non-life-threatening injuries at Hackensack University Medical Center.
