Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign has returned a contribution from a Pennsylvania mayor after the FBI questioned him and searched city offices.
The Morning Call reports Hillary for America returned the $1,000 contribution to Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski's committee on July 8.
FBI agents searched Allentown City Hall on July 2 and seized documents pertaining to that city's contract review and bidding process.
They searched Reading's city hall for similar material a week later.
Friends of Ed Pawlowski made the contribution to Clinton's campaign on May 5.
Pawlowski, a Democrat, suspended his U.S. Senate campaign after the search, saying he wanted to focus on assisting in federal investigation.
He said the campaign would be re-evaluated "once we have a more clear picture of any potential concerns with Allentown's government."
