Christie to Join Senate Candidate at Diner

Customers at a North Jersey diner will get a side order of politics with their bacon and eggs.

Gov. Chris Christie will join Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Bell to greet patrons and speak at the Morristown Diner Monday.

Bell is facing incumbent Democrat Cory Booker.

A Monmouth University Poll released earlier this month showed Bell trailing Booker by 15 points.

The survey also found that Bell's signature issue, having the U.S. dollar backed by the gold standard, does not have much traction among the state's voters. Two in five said they are not familiar with the concept.
