New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will be in Camden this morning to break ground on a school that is the first of its kind.
During the groundbreaking ceremony at 401 S Broadway, Christie, Camden Mayor Dana Redd and other officials will mark the start of construction of a school planned by The Cooper Foundation, the Knowledge Is Power Program's KIPP Team Charter Schools and the Norcross Foundation, to be named the KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy at Lanning Square.
The renaissance school is the first of its kind in the state.
