Gov. Chris Christie and his wife, Mary Pat, are getting into the holiday spirit.
The pair will serve a pre-Thanksgiving lunch at the soup kitchen at St. John's Church in Newark on Wednesday morning.
Members of the Christie administration have been participating in their fourth annual "Season of Service" by volunteering around the state.
Cabinet members this week have been sorting, packaging and serving holiday meals for various food pantries.
They'll focus on drug addiction treatment and recovery programs next month.
