Chris Christie Lunches With Rudy Giuliani

Two possible, and favored, GOP primary candidates get together Wednesday

Popular New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who has yet to endorse any Republican in the 2012 race for the White House, is having lunch on Wednesday with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Christie adviser Bill Palatucci confirmed the meeting, saying the Republicans are longtime friends. Giuliani campaigned for Christie during the 2009 gubernatorial race.

During an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan on Tuesday, Christie said that he has yet to see a “best option” to compete with President Obama in 2012 and that the field so far has yet to distinguish themselves.

Giuliani is said to be considering another presidential run and recently visited New Hampshire, where the first primary is held.
