School Bus Hits Church Overhang, Injures 7 Children in New Jersey

A school bus struck an overhang that was attached to a church in New Jersey and seven children were sent to a hospital, police reported.

NJ.com reports the crash occurred late Tuesday afternoon when police say the driver tried to make a U-turn in the driveway of Princeton Church of Christ along River Road.

The driver had been trying to go under an overhang that was attached to the church. Police say the top of the bus struck the overhang and damaged both the bus and the building.

Police say the seven Princeton Public Schools students on the bus were all taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.None were seriously hurt.

The driver's name wasn't immediately known.

The crash remains under investigation.
